Post-rock mini marathon and River Night
May 06, 2008 08:47 PM PDT
Fun if uneventful show. My extreme exhaustion I think actually made me better on the mic. I talked to Emily Apodoca, one of the coordinators for the summer LEAP program about the ourdoor activites they do and the fundraiser next friday to raise money for the program. Check them out. Cave In - Requiem
[interview with Emily Apodaca about River Night] James Brown - I can't stand myself when you touch me*

This episode was the the shit. I interviewed Chris Alfano of Biclops (formerly Day Without Dawn/the Postman Syndrome). Talked about the past and future of the band. Got some cool insights. Podcasts will be up soon. Anyway here's what I played. Sorry if I missed your requests at the end. People were blowing up the request line. It was awesome, and you actually stayed pretty much with in the theme of the night. Facing New York - Paper Shepard
---Biclops interview--- Biclops - Beasteater
*request Also, big ups to Zack Blackis, who co-hosted the show with me last week. We tried to record it for the podcast, but something was messed up, and it didn't work. It was probably my fault. Regardless it was an awesome show and a pivotal moment in SBP history. And we talked to our mysterious fan in Atlanta. Pour out a 40 for the lost episode. No don't do that. You'll waste beer. I played mostly side projects of well-and-lesser known bands. Got some requests and stuff. People were mostly cooperative, mostly... Episode 05 - Breaking and EnteringNovember 09, 2007 02:11 AM PST
The Lazy German calls back lazier than ever. I tell a story about a tweaker that walked into my apartment. Not too much going on here but I played some sweet tunes. Episode 04 - Part 3: French is the Lazy German

I was joined for the final hour by the multi talented and charismatic dj HexWarrior. We mostly bullshitted with the Duke who was at this point faded as hell but also played some nerdcore and talked about serious issues. Episode 04 - Part 2: Maxwell Adams goes to GermanyNovember 05, 2007 12:33 AM PST
Interviewed Tommy, manager of San Francisco Bay area rock band Maxwell Adams and the Duke explains his total heterosexuality. Episode 04 - Part 1: The L WordNovember 05, 2007 12:23 AM PST
Interviewed solo acoustic artist Eric Crossley and received some words from The Duke. Episode 03 - K.O. in the Windy City

Mostly slow night. Got some cool requests and chatted with old roomate trashed in Chicago. Read a poem about balls. Good if unremarkable show. |
Podcast SummaryTagline says it all. I play a lot of modern progressive rock and local bands which will blow your mind. Sometimes I have guests call in. You can be one of them if you want to join the conversation. Thursday nights from 9 to 11 (pacific time) at www.krfh.net About Joseph ClericiI have a radio show. I mostly play music I like which is semi-underground progressive-ish modern rock. Some mellow stuff, some heavier stuff. I also enjoy sharing anecdotes and having my listeners call in with their own stories and opinions. I like to argue, so disagree with me. Followers
